15 employees of Atyrau Refinery LLP were trained as part of the Lean 6 Sigma program. The number of ongoing projects is the same, 1 of which is at the design stage, 2 projects are at the measuring stage, 4 projects are being analyzed, 7 projects are being improved and one project has been successfully completed.
This project on "Optimization of the schedule of laboratory quality control of manufactured products on technological units ELOU-AT-2 and ELOU-AVT-3" was recognized as the best during the I Conference "Lean 6 Sigma" of the group of companies "KazMunayGas - Refining and Marketing" JSC held in Astana on July 18-20, 2017. Upon the implementation of this project, the number of tests, in comparison with the fact of 2016, has been reduced by 1603. The economic effect is 36.8 million tenge/year.
In general, the main directions of the projects of Atyrau Refinery LLP are improving the energy efficiency of heat engineering processes, reducing the repair of pumping equipment, optimizing technological processes and analytical control schedule, optimizing the preparation of commercial gasolines (reducing gasoline losses in tanks).
The projected economic effect from the implementation of Lean 6 Sigma projects at Atyrau Refinery LLP is 192.22 million tenge.
The projects are being implemented in the 4th quarter of 2017.
For reference: Lean 6 Sigma is a process management method based on statistical evaluation of process data facts, systematic search and development of measures to improve the quality of finished products, their consistent implementation and subsequent analysis of the faultlessness of the processes to increase customer satisfaction.
